[The camera focuses on Molly, who is looking at one of the derelict buildings somewhere near the clinic. It is not as bad as most of the buildings in Adstring, it looks like a home that was once very much loved, and has now been forgotten. Molly is quiet, in her own little world, unaware that the PCD is even on. She stares at the house for a long moment or two, then bites her lip and looks away.

She turns towards the general direction of the camera, and her face looks as though her heart's been broken, stomped on, and generally ripped into small pieces. Eventually she sees the PCD, notices the light running, and picks it up. When she finally says something, there is no trace of the turmoil on her face in her voice, only a slight waver.]

So. Who wants to point me towards an apartment or something?

Wow! You can do something like that? [Her head whips back and forth quickly as she seems to be looking for something.] Show me!

I can try. Shields and stuff aren't my specialty.

But that's why you were practicing, right? So go ahead! Show me what you can do! [Her friends can do such neat things.]

[He nods.]

Well - take care, Molly. Hope ya find someplace more permanent, huh?

Yeah, I guess. [She hesitates for a moment, then pulls out her wand.] ...Throw a snowball at me or something.

Yeah, me too.

[How many times is she ever going to get the chance to hear that? Usagi grins and bends over to pack together a bit of snow, round and firm.]

Ready? [She pulls back her arm and... it's painfully obvious she'll never be a pitcher. But it should do for this, as she lets the snowball fly.]

Where are you now?

[That's alright, though! Molly is frowning in concentration, and a small pale shield appears in the area Usagi threw the snowball at. It's not enough to stop it entirely, but it does deflect the snowball enough that it goes whizzing past Molly's head.]

You did it! [Usagi all but jumps up and down, and she does clap her hands together excitedly.]

[Molly gives her an amused look, reminded almost of one of her younger sisters.]

Yeah, but Harry can ...you know, actually stop them. He's better at defensive stuff than I am.

[...Oh, that would be a half-naked man on her screen. That's ...new and intriguing. She blinks a little, but it's nothing she hasn't seen before, so...]

Um. Near the clinic?

Don't worry about that! Just concentrate on doing your own best. You'll improve at the same time.

Maybe. Dunno how well I'll do without a teacher around.

There are a lot of people who use magic here. Maybe one of them can teach you and help out.

Yeah, but not all magic's the same, is the thing.

But there could still be someone. Because, there are a lot of different worlds that people here come from. Power might be the same in more than one.

The clinic is able to house people.

It might be, but I doubt it.

I know, but I'd rather not stay there.

Oh.

Okay...

I hope uh-- y'feel better soon or somethin'

There have been others here who have been fixing places. Are you looking... to be alone?

You can't decide that until you try! So come on, let's ask around and see about who says they'd do it, and then we can find out if they can teach you.

[A shrug.]
