[The camera focuses on Molly, who is looking at one of the derelict buildings somewhere near the clinic. It is not as bad as most of the buildings in Adstring, it looks like a home that was once very much loved, and has now been forgotten. Molly is quiet, in her own little world, unaware that the PCD is even on. She stares at the house for a long moment or two, then bites her lip and looks away.

She turns towards the general direction of the camera, and her face looks as though her heart's been broken, stomped on, and generally ripped into small pieces. Eventually she sees the PCD, notices the light running, and picks it up. When she finally says something, there is no trace of the turmoil on her face in her voice, only a slight waver.]

So. Who wants to point me towards an apartment or something?

[It's a gently smiling blond girl who answers.] I know where some places to stay are.

[But she's really here to offer her company. It isn't too hard to tell when someone is hurting, and that telltale look on Molly's face had made her hurt, too, for Molly's sake.]

I'm Usagi. We can look for them together, if you'd like.

[She brightens a little. Anything to get her mind off her thoughts is welcome, that way lies madness and self-pity and probably pissing off the only real friend she has here yet again.]

[Once Usagi calls you a friend (and that happens rather easily), she's a true friend forever. She'll stay by you now, and in everything that comes in the future.]

Can you give me the coordinates? That's near the clinic, isn't it...?

Um. Yeah. [She fumbles a bit with the buttons, but the coordinates are sent eventually, and Molly settles back to sit down, leaning on her cane some.]

I needed to -- not be there. [Which is patently a lie, she's rail-thin and looks like she's been starving for the past six months.]

Um, but if you were there because you weren't feeling well, I think you should stay there. Just until you're better. [Either way, she's coming; Usagi carries the PCD with her as she hunts for a pair of ragged mittens and the coat she uses for winter.]

I'm fine. Just a little tired. [She has, thankfully, gotten rid of most of the rags -- probably Thomas' fault, and is dressed in jeans and a sweater.]

[She asks the most logical of questions, which is the strange part.] If you're feeling alright, why were you at the clinic?

[Oh, there's the other mitten. Ok, coming now.]

[Well, she's a credulous sort, and it makes sense. Usagi nods a couple times.]

There are houses, and apartments, and other buildings, too. There are places that have water, and places that have electricity, but I don't think anywhere has both yet.

[She pokes her PCD a bit, and the picture flickers.] Somewhere without electricity. Not good with tech and that stuff, usually.

[And luckily she doesn't mind backtracking. In fact, is that a pair of blond pigtails heading towards Molly, right in view right now?

You bet it is. She waves her arms over her head.]

[Molly blinks a little, grabs her cane, and heads over, turning off her PCD as she walks.]

...Uh, hi.

I'm fine. [She'll ignore the 'kiddo', for the time being.]

[The picture on her PCD wavers out abruptly, and Molly smacks it -- hey, it's back.]

Could you? I don't wanna take up room at the clinic.

[Her face looks shadowed for a moment, but it passes quickly enough.]

I don't want to sleep, that's why.
